Project 6 Finally Done

In project 6 we had to make 2 synths. I used a square wave for myu first synth with a volume envolope on it. After two measures into the song i stated to use a tom drum, that i made my own sound with. The tom drum plays throughout most of the song.Along with my drums i added a Carib Shake to give the loop some exxtra tribal sounds. After 9 measures i went back to my first synth transposed to a slightly lower sound. After that i went back to my original synth and then i added the drum beat again along with my second synth that i made that sort of sounds liketribal horns. After that i went back to the first transposed synth and then back to the original synth drum beat and second syth at the end. At the end i faded out the last couple of measures with the automation clip.

Project 5

Newest Project 5 6/10/10

For my newst version of project 5 i used the riff machine on the dance toon and on a sci fi in the middle piece. I made my own bass with the bass2. This plays throughout my whole loop under my other sounds. I was inspired to do it by a techno piece i heard this past week on the bus. Other than that i basically used the same drums and sounds as the original prokect 5 REDO. also i added an fpc to my third pattern which plays in the begining and end pieces. In the middle piece i have the riff machine on the scifi which sounds different at two different points. I transposed the original one and made it a higher pitch. Enjoy

For my new project 5 I used the riff machine on a bass2. As yuo listen you will hear that this will play through out my whole loop. In my second pattern for measures 3-9 i added a FLS hatop 5. Then i added an overlapping bass called hipkick 7. This playus from measures 5-12. In pattern four i transposed my bass2 which continues all the way through my 17th measure. then i have a transition which is again the hipkick 7. this leads into my last piece which consists of the first pattern (bass2) third pattern and a new 6th pattern which is an electric sounds that plays evey fourth beat. I was inspired to make this by general music today and their cool guitar and loop sounds. So this is how i came up with this. the reason i went for a total different change from my original project was because i wasnt so sure i liked the cords sound, and it was boring to listen to.

project 5

for my project i went with a different approach. I used a notched string for basically my whole song. then i added pearls to give it a smooth feel. On the pearls i decided to use the riff machine, trance 5. Towards the end i added a sim synth a chopped it. the drum beat i had to change a couple of times. At first i had a more complex one but it didnt sound good, therefore i went with the simpler one. I did this to sort of wake up the listener at the end to get into my project again. I was inspired to do this by all of he soft music i have heard over the years.

Project 4 Updated

In poject 4 I used three simple sounds. I used the Fl Slayer , FPC, and the Fruity Filter. In the Fl Slayer I got my base. Once i got my base i went into the fruity filter and found a sound to go with it which was the boobass. As i listened to my sounds together i realized they sounded kind of boring in my original piece. Because of this i decided to change the bass by chopping it with trance 6, which is the difference betweeen my updated project 4. This kind of gave my piece some more flavor and made it not so boring like oldies music. I also used the xy contoller to allow for more frequency to come through to make it more intense.

Project 3

Updated File

In project 3 I used FPC, Sym Synth, and the chop tool. For the FPC i used a groove that got me to want to make my piece. I used a funk FPC because all the modern music out today have cool beats. In the Sym Syth I found my bass. I transposed the base twice to make it sound more intense and deeper at different points. At 16 seconds i choppd my base after i transposed it to speed up the song and give it a techno feeling. Then i used the automaton clip to play with the sonds even further. I went into the Sym Synth one last time and played with te xy controllers to allow for more sound to go through.

Project 2

For Project two I stuck with an original "dance" drum beat from the FPC. For the rest i just played around with the SimSynth and the Sytrus to see what worked. In the SymSyth i used the "FatAss" tool to come up with my base. From there i transposed it twice into different patterns. I changed the pitch so it sounded faster everytime I transposed it. I originally was going to go with the FL Slayer, but everything I seemed to try sounded dull. Everyday music has different and unique kinds of animations. I thought to myself if I could join them all together then it would sound cool.
